Meet Our Pastors

Senior Pastor Naida M. Parson, PhD

Pastor PasonReverend Dr. Naida M. Parson, Senior Pastor of New Antioch Christian Fellowship, is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Black Studies from the University of California, Riverside. She has also earned a Master of Arts Degree in African-American Studies with emphasis in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles as well as a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno. She is presently the Staff Psychologist for Summit View Youth Correctional Center where she coordinates mental health services for youth offenders. Dr. Parson is the first African-American in Nevada to be licensed as a Psychologist.

Dr. Parson was saved in the summer of 1968 at the age of 8 years old. She received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in September of 1975 at the age of 16 at Vegas View Church of God in Christ, pastored by her parents, the late Claude H. Parson, Jr. and Evangelist Stella Mason Parson. She served faithfully in the Church of God in Christ all of her life as a musician, choir director, State Youth Choir President, Fellowship District Youth Chairlady, Sunday School Teacher, Bible College instructor, State Youth Congress Workshop Coordinator, and a Missionary/Evangelist. She also served as Assistant Pastor for Blood of the Lamb True Holiness Ministries under Bishop Maceo Harris until the founding of New Antioch Christian Fellowship.

Dr. Parson is active in the community as a motivational speaker, worship instructor, writer and mentor. Dr. Parson is also the President of New View Ministries evangelistic team. Her God-given task is to open her heart, her experience, and the holy word of God to teach this generation what it is to know, to love, and to serve God.

Associate Pastor Sonya Cheltenham

Associate Pastor Sonya Cheltenham

Pastor Cheltenham comes from a long ancestral line of preachers, teachers, evangelists, and missionaries. She has been saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost for over26 years. She has two children, Quiana and Sean-Leigh and two grandchildren, Ashlee and Jordan, and has raised 11 foster children in her home. She is the wife of one husband for 28 years. Pastor Cheltenham has achieved a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work and a Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Management. She is a consultant for church and business reorganization/revitalization. She is currently employed with Clark County Social Services as a Social Work Specialist. She is a trainer of God's people and has nurtured, trained, and guided many missionaries, preachers, and evangelists in their calling.

Assistant Pastor Regina K. Rhodes

Assistant Pastor Regina K. DuBose

Pastor Regina K. Rhodes is a Licensed Social Worker in Nevada. She works as a Psychiatric Case Worker to provide intensive wrap around services to severely emotional disturbed children in the foster care placement. Pastor DuBose has worked as a director of a Family Resource Center, an investigator with Child Protective Service, Child Development Educator for the Healthy Family Program and as a Family Support Specialist with Family Preservation Services.

Born in Topeka, Kansas, Pastor Rhodes traveled extensively throughout her childhood in the United States and Europe until her family was stationed in Las Vegas, Nevada. In May of 1996, she earned an Associate Degree in General Studies at Community College of Southern Nevada. In May of 2000, she earned her Bachelor’s of Social Work Degree from Arizona State University.

Pastor Rhodes accepted Christ in her life in March of 1979 and was filled with the Holy Ghost in April of that same year. She attended and graduated from the Charles Harrison Mason Bible College as a Master Teacher in 1991. She has ministered in areas such as prison ministry, evangelism, Christian education, and revivals. She also operates in the areas of intercession, prophesy, exhortation, word of knowledge, gift of healing, and the laying on of hands and deliverance.

Pastor Rhodes' mission in life is to present a life of sanctification, dedication, and faithfulness to the Lord, along with declaring God’s word to a lost and misled generation.

Administrative Pastor David C. Burr

Pastor David R. Burr

Pastor David Christopher Burr, the proud husband of MarvaElane and father of three boys Joshue-el, Christopher, and Elijon was born in Los Angeles, California to Pastor William and Deborah Burr. Pastor Burr moved to Nevada in 1996 after receiving a full scholarship to play football for the University of Nevada, Reno and received his Bachelors in Marketing Degree in May 2000. Pastor Burr and MarvaElane relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in October 2001 where he still resides as a consultant for a Business Banking Division of Wells Fargo.

Pastor Burr has a passion and gift for teaching. This anointed man of God is noted for dissecting the Word of God in a simple way that grabs the listener's attention and makes one think. The quiet anointing he possesses seemingly sneaks up on one while preparing them for a life-changing experience. Pastor Burr currently serves as Administration Pastor and CFO of New Antioch Christian Fellowship.
